Editing Softwares ⚙️

Our teacher has informed us of certain applications which I, as the editor of our team, will have to use in the post production phase. Firstly, we have a software used by many for big and small projects.  1. CANVA Canva is a graphic design platform that provides the users with tools, in order to help them create presentations, websites, etc. Whether you are an individual, or part of a big company, Canva could definitely be of use to you. Secondly, we have more complex software. 2. ADOBE PREMIERE Adobe Premiere is a timeline based, non linear video editing app. Though it is comparatively more difficult to use, it definitely gives better result.  Lastly, the application we will be using more frequently, 3. DA VINCI RESOLVE Da vinci resolve is not a very popular editing app, and to be completely honest its my first time hearing about it. However, our teacher has told us to download it, so that he can teach us how to properly use it, in order to achieve better results.

Easter Eggs 🤫

Our team took the creative liberty to hide some secret messages in our film. Though we haven't started filming yet, we managed to fill in certain grey areas, and fix scenes we all agreed were too abrupt. People think writing in cursive is easy, and I used to agree. No one had ever explained to us why cursive was taught in school as a specific skill. But there were many theories. "Maybe it's to get an easy A." "It could be because not everyone can adapt to new writing styles that easily." Only recently I learnt the real reason was  that changing one small line, or adding one single loop could change the entire meaning. We decided to implement this in our film opening. This is a very common phrase that you would see when arriving at someone's house. Our focus for this word would be the letter 'o'. The o has one single loop. Thus, it shows the original way to write in cursive. This picture is from a movie called "Coraline". It's where ...

Script Updates 💻

As required in our syllabus, we began typing out our script on Fade In, a software specifically made for script writing. Typing this down has helped us organize our thoughts, and though there are still some grey areas, our entire group finally has a clearer idea of our project and requirements. Moreover, we came to a unanimous agreement, and have switched from giving each character their own dialogues, to having the main character narrate the story in order to fit our 2 minute time limit. There is still much left to add, but as we still have time until the shooting, we will not rush the pre production, Rather we will take our time to discuss and understand the script as well as each other, giving our own inputs, and hearing out everyone's ideas. In addition to this, we still have to confirm the locations, and have been discussing the small easter eggs we plan to hide in the story. As these would have a direct impact on the script, until we confirm everything else, we are left with ...

Picture Perfect 📸

The sky, blue as a saphire sparkling in the sunlight. The trees, green and fresh in the mid-summer season. Nature's peace flowing into you as sunshine flows into flowers. A sense of unsatisfaction was all I could feel as I was about to walk away without capturing this breathtaking scenery. Yet still, pictures could never do it justice.  The grenery high and low. The colours of the building, the flowers, the sky and the ground, all complimenting each other perfectly. Walking through the beautiful arch like structures would make anyone feel like royalty.  A day inside isn't all bad, when you have someone to enjoy with. Whether you talk to eachother, bake something, channel your inner artist, or even sit in silence, as long as you do it with a loved one, anything and everything can be meaningful.

Idea presenting(2) 💬

We presented our idea to our teacher, hoping for feedback on the changes we made. He gave us the green light, so now we can start practicing and refining our skills to ensure the film opening meets his expectations.

Rediscussion 🤔

Though our first idea was good, we weren't satisfied with it. Thus, we started brainstorming for a new idea from which we could stick to our original subject while making the story more interesting.

Idea Presenting 💡

We created a presentaion with our roles, idea, and overall plan and then presented it to our teacher in class.

Script Writing 📝

After many great ideas, and possible prompts, our team came to a decision and began scripting our final story, thus, starting our pre-production process.
