Editing Softwares ⚙️

Our teacher has informed us of certain applications which I, as the editor of our team, will have to use in the post production phase. Firstly, we have a software used by many for big and small projects.

1. CANVA

Canva is a graphic design platform that provides the users with tools, in order to help them create presentations, websites, etc. Whether you are an individual, or part of a big company, Canva could definitely be of use to you.

Secondly, we have more complex software.

2. ADOBE PREMIERE

Adobe Premiere is a timeline based, non linear video editing app. Though it is comparatively more difficult to use, it definitely gives better result.

Lastly, the application we will be using more frequently,

3. DA VINCI RESOLVE

Da vinci resolve is not a very popular editing app, and to be completely honest its my first time hearing about it. However, our teacher has told us to download it, so that he can teach us how to properly use it, in order to achieve better results.

Finalized Cast 🎭

During a discussion, we realized that our cast had so many last minute changes that we completely forgot to post a blog for them. In he end we had to work with what we had, remove people in some scenes due to availability, and even cramp up some of the filming in a couple of hours. Now that we have everything set, we decided to post for our final cast and their roles. 1. Humna Mansoor Main Character 2. Hussain Rizvi Roommate 1 3. Back to Square 1 😭

We showed our teacher the completed film, and he informed us that it wouldn't get a grade higher than a C. After all the work we put in to get to this point, hearing this almost completely crushed us. We asked if there was anyway to improve it, and he advised us to reshoot it. This wasn't an option for us, because we only have until Friday, and our cast members cant come over anymore due to the CIES approaching. We went back to the drawing board because no matter how stressed we were, we weren't going to let our efforts go to waste. We went through several different storylines, and came up with some good ones, however none of them could get completed before the due date. We settled on one idea, and will try to get people to act in it.

Hello. I'm Mishel Ali and I attend Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences (ICAS) as a media student. I took Media Studies as I knew it would help me in my daily life. I've also always been c aptivated by the subject but haven't yet had the opportunity to pursue it so I thought this was the best scenario. Though I was part of our school media team for a year, I couldn't do much due to my lack of experience, as well as knowledge on how to do it well. I'm excited to learn about the various aspects of videography such as, using a green screen, editing, camera angles, etc.
