Upon informing the cast about our shooting schedule, we found out that Hussain Rizvi, who was meant to play the main leads dad, is not going to be in the country until the 6th of January. We were originally planning on killing him off, but we have been attempting to begin filming, first without a schedule, and then with a schedule but some of the cast was not cooperating with us. We cannot force them, as they're doing us a favor by taking part in this film but it definitely got to us. The four of us decided to meet, and as we got into a slight argument about what to do, we all managed to agree on one thing. The script did not make sense.
Our original idea was well constructed, however, as we started to script it, and as we started to add cast members, and even gained a group member, there were too many inputs being given. Even as we were trying to fix a schedule, there was not a single scene that the 4 of us were on the same page about. We all had different ideas on how the story went, despite having the same script, and though it is usually the directors decision, we did not want to compromise our grade.
When we came to this realization, we decided to brainstorm another idea. We have definitely started late, due to our schedule clash, but we decided that rather than repeatedly disagreeing, and getting into arguments we should work together to try and solve it. As we came up with an idea we all agreed on, we scripted it down, this time keeping the locations, and characters in mind. We each explained the scenes in our head as we went on, and ended up coming up with a horror film opening, which in our opinion, works better than the first. The cliffhanger is clearer, and we are all on the same page this time, as this time we were all present for the script writing.
