Starting the production 🎞️

Our team met up at a designated location to work on finalizing the pre production process. We had to redo the story board due to the script changes we made, and we made an attempt on recording the narrations.

Our director made the the story board, however, our sound editor lent a helping hand with the drawings as she is an art student.

We got our cinematographer to do the narrations, due to her soft and compelling voice. We helped her adjust her voice, and her speaking manner to fit the role of our main character. We completed this task, officially starting the production process.

Though we have certain tweaks to make to the pre production, we decided rather than wasting time worrying we would move forward while trying to fix those issues. This has already helped us so much, and we're most probably going to be done with them soon.

Finalized Cast 🎭

During a discussion, we realized that our cast had so many last minute changes that we completely forgot to post a blog for them. In he end we had to work with what we had, remove people in some scenes due to availability, and even cramp up some of the filming in a couple of hours. Now that we have everything set, we decided to post for our final cast and their roles. 1. Humna Mansoor Main Character 2. Hussain Rizvi Roommate 1 3. Back to Square 1 😭

We showed our teacher the completed film, and he informed us that it wouldn't get a grade higher than a C. After all the work we put in to get to this point, hearing this almost completely crushed us. We asked if there was anyway to improve it, and he advised us to reshoot it. This wasn't an option for us, because we only have until Friday, and our cast members cant come over anymore due to the CIES approaching. We went back to the drawing board because no matter how stressed we were, we weren't going to let our efforts go to waste. We went through several different storylines, and came up with some good ones, however none of them could get completed before the due date. We settled on one idea, and will try to get people to act in it.

Hello. I'm Mishel Ali and I attend Islamabad College of Arts and Sciences (ICAS) as a media student. I took Media Studies as I knew it would help me in my daily life. I've also always been c aptivated by the subject but haven't yet had the opportunity to pursue it so I thought this was the best scenario. Though I was part of our school media team for a year, I couldn't do much due to my lack of experience, as well as knowledge on how to do it well. I'm excited to learn about the various aspects of videography such as, using a green screen, editing, camera angles, etc.
